Tomato has long been associated with natural healing and believed to be very effective in reducing risks of many types of cancers, especially breast cancer.
Beside it's medicinal properties as an edible fruit, it is also very widely used in beauty treatments. One of its uses is as a skin toner and brightener, and works wonders for hyper-pigmentation caused by too much sun.
Upon returning from outdoors, wash your face with mild soap or gel. I'd recommend a very mild face wash with Aloe Vera or witch hazel in it. Pat dry and rub a sliced tomato on your whole face and neck or only on the parts that have been slightly sun-burnt.
Leave on for 20 minutes and just lay back and relax with your eyes closed. Ideally, I'd do 2 treatments at one go due to lack of time, so I'd treat myself to 2 slices of cool cucumber placed over my eyes as while I relax! This will actually help you lighten the dark circles under your eyes and give a cooling effect at the same time!
Wash off with cool water, pat dry and apply your favorite moisturizer.
Enjoy a fresh rejuvenated skin and a noticeably improvement in your skin tone.
